Born and raised in Texas, David Craig received his undergraduate education at Texas A&M University before attending medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. His medical training took him to Kansas City, Louisville, and Augusta, Georgia, then on to the east coast for an internship and residency at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, and a post graduate fellowship in Nashville. He then settled in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for 25 years of private practice in plastic and reconstructive surgery. After retiring from medicine, he began a second career as a vineyard manager and wine maker at a boutique winery in the mountains of western North Carolina where he lives with his wife, Valerie.
